Rejection of Escape

The series addresses the theme of isolated unknown space. The use of flowers and organic shapes within mirrored space creates those mysterious and floaty moments where you don't feel the time and sounds of silence. The primary focus for this project is based on organic materials captured with some types of reflection within. I want to focus on techniques that include low highlights and cool tones. The details of the imagery intentionally look like human body skin to create intimacy in the artwork.

You cannot tell the time, or location, the only information that you can get is it is in a space where you cannot escape. The use of mirrors has created this space where they have layers of the object which gives more this rejection to escape from the space of imagery. The flower represents lives and how they are letting die and getting weaker. The scales make the audience draw into the space but want to keep it looking far from reality by sizing small scales.
